Pursuant to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act
(CUPCCAA), this is a list of upcoming projects requiring a 30-day notice period
prior to bid opening. All of the following projects are located in or around
the City of Livermore and will be let out to bid by the Livermore Area Recreation
and Park District (LARPD). The funding for these projects primarily comes from
restricted local, state and federal sources. For additional funding and/or

UPCOMING PROJECTS and RFPs
LARPD #623 Robertson Park Respite and Trail - This project consists of the construction of a small play area ("Respite Area") near the horseshoe pits along Robertson Park Road in Robertson Park. The play area is intended for use by the 2 to 5 year group, and will feature a small climbing boulder and teeter-totter. The trail portion of the project is an 8' wide asphalt walking path connecting the Respite Area to the larger playground near the Field House. Engineer's estimate is $180,000, exclusive of poured-in-place safety surfacing for the play area. Bid plans will be available April 5, 2013 with bid opening scheduled for April 18, 2013. LARPD #021c Sycamore Grove Wetmore Entrance Site Improvements - This project consists of installing utility connections to serve a proposed restroom building (NIC). The work includes trenching and installing electrical, domestic water and sewer connections from existing services to the proposed building site. A new sewer manhole is required at the service stubout. Engineer's estimate is $45,000. The contract will be awarded following informal bid procedures pursuant to CUPCCAA. LARPD #603 Sycamore Grove Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail Repave - This project consists of repaving the 2.5-mile segment of the Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail running through Sycamore Grove Park. The typical trail section consists of an 8-foot-wide asphalt path with 2-foot-wide compacted gravel clear zones on both sides. A compensation adjustment for price fluctuations of asphalt is included in the specifications. This project has been placed on hold pending identification of funding sources.
LARPD #4907-C Robert Livermore Community Center Roadway Connection
– This project consists of the construction of a 12’ wide
internal driveway to connect the front parking lot of the Community Center
to the main parking lot on Loyola Way and includes: demolition, excavation
and grading, concrete curbs and mow band, asphalt paving, electrical (light
standard), planting and reconfiguration of the existing irrigation system.
Engineer’s estimate is $200,000. Anticipated bid opening TBD. More
