Pursuant to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act
(CUPCCAA), this is a list of upcoming projects requiring a 30-day notice period
prior to bid opening. All of the following projects are located in or around
the City of Livermore and will be let out to bid by the Livermore Area Recreation
and Park District (LARPD). The funding for these projects primarily comes from
restricted local, state and federal sources. For additional funding and/or
project information, please contact the project manager listed.

UPCOMING PROJECTS
LARPD #613 Robert Livermore Park Pump Replacement - This project consists of the replacement of an irrigation pump station at Robert Livermore Park.
Bid Opening was held on April 4, 2012. Preliminary bid results are here. Pursuant to CUPCCAA informal bidding procedures, the contract will be awarded by the General Manager by April 16, 2012.
LARPD #511 Robertson Park Sports Field Improvements - This project consists of the removal of 2 existing sand based soccer fields at Robertson Park for replacement with an artificial turf system. Estimated total area of artificial turf is approximately 220,000 sf. The work will include modification to the existing irrigation system, augmentation to the existing drainage system, concrete border/header for the turf, minor landscape improvements, and perimeter fencing. The artificial turf system is not part of the contract.
Bid opening was held on March 28, 2012. Preliminary bid results are here. The contract is scheduled to be awarded at the Board of Directors meeting on April 11, 2012.
LARPD #623 Robertson Park Respite and Trail - This project consists of the construction of a small play area ("Respite Area") near the horseshoe pits along Robertson Park Road. The play area is intended for use by the 2 to 5 year group, and will feature a small climbing boulder and teeter-totter. The trail portion of the project is an 8' wide asphalt walking path connecting the Respite Area to the larger playground near the Field House. Engineer's estimate is $140,000. LARPD #021 Sycamore Grove Park Wetmore Improvements - This project consists of trenching and utility connections for domestic water, electricity, sewer and telephone services; and installation of a prefabricated bathroom/storage structure. Engineer's estimate is $120,000.00, not including the purchase cost of the prefabricated bathroom/storage structure. This project has been postponed to summer 2012 in order to coordinate with the Nature Education Facilities grant project at Sycamore Grove Park. More info: Chiye Azuma, email cazuma@larpd.dst.ca.us

PROJECTS ON HOLD
LARPD #4907-C Robert Livermore Community Center Roadway Connection
– This project consists of the construction of a 12’ wide
internal driveway to connect the front parking lot of the Community Center
to the main parking lot on Loyola Way and includes: demolition, excavation
and grading, concrete curbs and mow band, asphalt paving, electrical (light
standard), planting and reconfiguration of the existing irrigation system.
Engineer’s estimate is $200,000. Anticipated bid opening TBD. More
