The Reservable Group Picnic Area is a portion of Sycamore Grove Park available for rental use.
If you are looking for a natural area for a small picnic or event, this location is ideal. You can enjoy quiet time listening to the birds singing in the oaks, bring the equipment to play games such as frisbee or dodgeball in the meadow, roast marshmallows around a campfire, cook a meal on the barbecue, or all of the above.
The rentable area includes:
- a natural meadow/field
- small grass/lawn area
- two shade shelters,
- picnic tables
- a drinking fountain
- a large barbecue
- limited parking in the adjacent paved parking lot.
Since this is part of a natural area, there are limited modern conveniences. The natural meadow area is mowed but is a combination of dirt and grasses which are only green during early spring months. Restroom facilities consist of portable toilets. There is no electricity available and generators are not allowed.
